The Central Lady Warriors overcame a slow start and poor free throw shooting in the first half to take 57-54 win over the Brunswick Lady Bulldogs Friday at the Virginia Commonwealth University Siegel Center in Richmond.
Junior NCAA Division I prospect Logan Reynolds led the Lady Warriors (23-6) with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Kayla Mulkey added 9 points and freshman Sophie Mullins finished with 8 points and 7 rebounds.
Myneshia Walker finished with 20 points and 7 rebounds for the Lady Bulldogs (22-1), while Bria Stith finished with 15 points and 7 rebounds.
Central will make a return trip to the Siegel Center in Richmond on Saturday, March 8 in the Group 2A state championship.
The Lady Warriors will play the winner of Saturday's Group 2A state semifinal game between Gate City and East Rockingham. That game will be played at 1 p.m. at the UVa-Wise Prior Convocation Center in Wise.
