Notice is hereby given pursuant to Va. Code Section 3.2-6569 that a hearing will be held in the Wise County General District Court, 206 E. Main Street, Wise, Virginia 24293, on December 10, 2012, at 9:00 a.m. on the petition of Wise County Animal Warden, Glen Arwood, Case No. V12-1664 for the determination under that statute that one potbellied pig, white in color has been seized by the Animal Warden in Wise County on November 26, 2012 near 11519 Meade Fork Rd. in Wise County is an abandoned animal within the term of that statute and for entry of an order by the Court for the proper disposition of this animal as authorized by said statute.
Any persons interested in this matter including anyone claiming ownership of this animal is to appear at said hearing.

Box 3499, Wise, Virginia 24293 is applying for Renewal to Permit Number 1101824/NPDES Permit Number 0081824, located approximately 1.7 miles West of Inman on Looney Creek. This permit consists of 126.40 acres and can be found on the Appalachia, Virginia USGS quadrangle at Latitude 36.909024 and Longitude -82.837898.
A copy of the application materials is available for public inspection and comment at the Wise County Courthouse in Wise, VA. A copy of the draft NPDES permit and fact sheet are available for public inspection and comment at the Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy in Big Stone Gap, Virginia. Any person whose interests are or may be adversely affected by the Renewal application, or an Officer, or Head of any Federal, State, or local government agency or authority may within 30 days of December 7, 2012, submit written comments or objections to the Division of Mined Land Reclamation concerning the Renewal application: and may also request, in writing, that the Division hold an Informal Conference concerning the application. Pursuant to 36 CFR 215.5, District Ranger Jorge J. Hersel requests comments on the proposed project listed above. The Agency proposes to prescribe burn 1,975 acres on National Forest System lands in the Wallens Ridge area North of Highway 23. The project is located in the counties of Wise and Lee.
Comments must be postmarked or received within 30 days beginning the day following publication of this notice.
