Modern Woodmen of America members in Coeburn recently helped raise money for the Eastside High School One Act team with a special fundraising event. Through the organization’s Matching Fund Program, the Modern Woodman were able to match $1500 raised by the One Act Team! These funds will be used to help provide travel expenses and purchase state championship rings for the students.

The Matching Fund Program offers Modern Woodmen members nationwide the chance to show their support for a community cause, organization or individual in need through fundraisers.   These fundraising projects contribute more than $10 million to community needs across the country each year.

“The community truly came together to support a local need,” says Josh Adkins, local Modern Woodmen Managing Partner.   “That support is what it’s all about. We are proud of the accomplishments of the One Act Team. We congratulate them on winning another VHSL State Championship this year.”
