BARBARA H. ASHER

Barbara H. Asher, 87, of Wise, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 5, 2020.

Barbara was of the Christian faith and attended Gladeville Presbyterian Church. She was a Registered Nurse for more than 50 years, most of those years were at St. Mary’s Hospital.

Barbara was born and raised in Richwood, West Virginia. She graduated nursing school in Huntington, West Virginia.

Barbara was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Lucille Whitman Hamilton; one brother, “Bub”; and sister, “Philly”.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda Asher of Madrid, Spain; son, Ray Asher and wife Midge; and two beloved grandsons, Justin and Tommy of Wise.

Barbara enjoyed her life. She enjoyed traveling and the arts. She loved the birds and squirrels. She liked sports and loved chocolate.
