ORDER OF PUBLICATION

Now comes your Petitioners, Destiny Gale Hamilton McGill and Dominic O'Neil McGill, and moves this honorable court for an order of publication in the above referenced matter. This suit is for the adoption of a child known as Bentley Lee McGill.

“Adoption is the method provided by law to establish the legal relationship of parent and child between persons who are not so related by birth, with the same mutual rights and obligations that exist between children and their birth parents.”

It appearing by affidavit filed according to law that the location and whereabouts of Derek Lee Fields, the father of Bentley Lee Fields, are unknown. And it further appearing by affidavit that the last known address of Derek Lee Fields was Norton, VA 24273. It is therefore ORDERED that Derek Lee Fields, the father of Bentley Lee Fields, or anyone else with an interest in the adoption of Bentley Lee Fields appear on or before the 4th day of March, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Clerk's Office of this Court and do what is necessary to protect his/her interests.

And, it is further ORDERED that this order be published once a week for four successive weeks in The Coalfield Proqress, a newspaper of general circulation in the County of Wise, Virginia; that The Coalfield Proqress return a certification to counsel for the Petitioners that this ORDER OF PUBLICATIONhas in fact been run once a week for four successive weeks; and that a copy of this ORDER be posted at the front door of the Courthouse wherein this Court is held.
