REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS New parking lot/student drop-off lane at Coeburn Primary School.
Wise County Public Schools is accepting qualifications for Architectural and Engineering design services for a new parking lot/student drop-off lane at Coeburn Primary School. RFQ's will be accepted until 2:00 PM local time, Tuesday, October 5, 2021, in the office of the Director of Facilities and Maintenance, 628 Lake Street NE, Building E, Wise, VA 24293. The project will consist of a new 20 plus parking lot (roughly 18,000 square ft.), and relocation of the student drop-off lane. Included services will be grading, asphalt paving, storm water management, and possible concrete sidewalk/curb design, etc. The project will be located on the eastern portion of the Coeburn Primary campus.
WCPS will have a non-mandatory, pre-proposal meeting at Coeburn Primary School, 332 Schoolhouse Hill, Coeburn, VA 24230, on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, at 10:00 AM local time. WCPS will select a committee to review submitted Statement of Qualifications. The firm will be selected based on experience with this type of project, the firm's location, their financial responsibility/liability insurance, and current workload. When a firm is selected, WCPS will then request a fee proposal based on a mutually agreed upon scope of services. WCPS may have interviews, either face-to-face, or possibly via Zoom.
It will be the responsibility of the successful A/E firm to deliver professional design service from initial planning through close-out. The firm selected will report directly to the WCPS project manager, and assume full responsibility for facilitating all aspects of pre-construction management services. Erosion and Sediment Control and Storm Water Management permit applications, if required, will be prepared and submitted to the governing authorities by the selected A/E firm, and all associated fees will be paid by WCPS.
