U. S. OFFICE OF SURFACE MINING RECLAMATION AND ENFORCEMENT (OSMRE)

WISE, VIRGINIA

    OSMRE is soliciting comments, recommendations and/or suggestions for topics from citizens, environmental groups, and industry to include in our 2026/2027 Virginia (VA) Performance Agreement. Performance Agreements between OSMRE and the State and Tribal programs establish how oversight is conducted during each evaluation year. The topics should relate to implementation of Virginia Energy’s approved Coal Surface Mining Regulatory and/or Abandoned Mine Land Programs. For OSMRE to consider your comments and suggestions, we must receive them by March 31, 2025.
