Norton City Council passed a resolution June 2 honoring the city’s Kiwanis Club on the 100th anniversary of the first Kiwanis Club, formed in Detroit. Norton’s club was incorporated in 1921, the resolution notes. Kiwanis International is one of the world’s largest service organizations with more than 600,000 members in more than 80 nations.
