On Saturday, April 18 several members of our community joined together to form a prayer parade organized by Ferbie Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. There were about a dozen cars that joined together to ride through the town of Pound, and then traveled all the way to Lonesome Pine Hospital to pray for our community and nation. Many of the cars were decorated with posters and notes written on their windows, and as we traveled we prayed for those who were still having to work at essential businesses and honked horns to show support for them. We also prayed for all affected by the virus and for all the lost. So many cars stopped to show resepect for the parade, and waved as we traveled. Once we reached Lonesome Pine Hopsital all the cars honked and waved to show support for all the employees and patients at the hospital. Since this hospital has been a designated a COVID 19 facility everyone prayed for healing of the patients who are being treated for the virus. It was so wonderful to be a part of something so important for our community.

SOCIAL MEDIA

Again many of our local pastors are still using social media and other media outlets to have online church services. This is a great way for us to still worship during this time when we are unable to gather. Some of our local churches are using facebook live, and some have even made youtube channels for all those that don't have facebook. Remember that although we are not able to be together at this time the body of Christ is still working and praying!
