DEBORAH LAWSON

Deborah (Debbie) Jane Wampler Lawson, 56, of Norton, went Home to the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2020 at her home surrounded by family, following an extended illness. 

Debbie was a daughter of the late Howard Wampler and Rosa Gilliam Wampler. She was also preceded in death by her brother Dennis Wampler and best friend Faye. Debbie was a retired CNA at Norton Community Hospital.

Surviving are her daughter, Amber Blevins and her husband Joel of Kingsport, TN and her son Richard Lawson and Caitlin Boggs of Norton; grandchildren: Slade and Chandler Blevins and Ayden and Jaxson Lawson; brothers and a sister: Danny (Peggy) Wampler, David (Barbie) Wampler, and Diana Wampler; sister-in-law Linda Wampler; nephews and nieces Jamie Wampler, Joey Wampler, Marshall Maynor, Amber Dawn (Mitchell) Jones, and Loretta Bouton. She is also survived by three great-nieces, four great-nephews, and many loved cousins and friends. 

The family wishes to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Daryl Pierce, his office staff, and Oncology Nurses for providing such compassionate care to Debbie. The family also wants to acknowledge the well wishes and prayers of their many friends during this time. 

Family and friends will have a time to visit while following social distancing guidelines and practices on Thursday, April 30 at 2 p.m. at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Burial will be private.
