MICHAEL WATSON KILGORE

Michael Watson Kilgore departed his earthly home in Strasburg VA, for his heavenly home on June 3, 2020. He was of the Lutheran faith and attended a church near his home.

He was born and raised in Pound. The youngest child of Coy and Betty Kilgore. He graduated from Pound High School in 1982, Clinch Valley College in 1986, and received his Master’s degree from William and Mary in 1988. He was employed for many years by MITRE Corporation in McLean, VA.

He is survived by his mother and father, Coy and Betty Kilgore, and his sister Sandra Taylor and her husband Robert Taylor.

His ashes were buried in the family plots in Powell Valley Memorial Gardens. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
