WILLIE RAY MULLINS

Willie Ray Mullins, 71, of Wise, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at the Norton Community Hospital in Norton, Virginia.

He was of the Christian faith, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War and was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Evelyn Hillman Mullins; a sister, Inus Acree; and five brothers, McKinley Mullins, Larry Mullins, Neal Mullins, Roger Mullins and Gary Mullins.

Surviving are his wife, Ann Mullins; daughter, Michelle Mullins; grandson, Westley Smith and Allison Mullins; granddaughter, Kendra Maggard and husband Jonah; great-grandchildren, Kadence Smith and Finnley Smith; step-son, Eddie Baker and wife Wendy; step-daughter, Lisa Wyckoff and husband Peter; step-grandchildren, Brooklin Baker, PJ Wyckoff and Dauntay Woods; three brothers, Clifford Mullins of White Pine, VA, Ronnie Mullins of Michigan, and Jerry Mullins of Partlow, VA; sister, Eula Vanover of Beacer Dam, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Willie Ray Mullins will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, September 18, at the Sturgill Funeral Home chapel in Wise with Rev. Tom Slemp officiating. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until time of services. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 19 in the Paul Stanley Cemetery in Dickenson County. Family and friends will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession. We will be following State mandated social distancing and occupancy.
