VA-KY District Fair exhibits accepted June 13
The VA-KY District Fair exhibits will be accepted on Sunday, June 13, from 2-4 p.m. in the Exhibit building at the fairgrounds. Release of the exhibits will take place on the following Sunday, June 20, from 1-3 p.m. For questions regarding flowers and plant exhibits contact June Jones at 276-679-3180.
The Green Thumb Garden Club of Norton, will be accepting exhibits for the Flower Show at the VA-KY District Fair on Sunday, June 13 from 2 until 4 p.m. Judging of exhibit entries will take place on Monday, June 14 at 9:30 a.m. For further information, you may contact June Jones at 679-3180.
Arrangement in a container using either (a) all fresh flowers or (b) all naturally dried material. NO arrangements with artificial material will be accepted.
Horticulture specimens must be exhibited in clear glass containers with only one stem per container. Any foliage must be above the rim of the clear container. NO paper cups will be accepted.
1. Roses: (a) hybrid tea, one bloom; (b) polyantha or floribunda, one spray; (c) grandiflora, one spray; (d) climber rose, one spray; (e) variety of rose not listed
2. Iris ‑ one stem
3. Day Lily ‑ one stem 4. Foliage stem, ie hosta, fern 5. Plant specimen not listed.

(Exhibitor must have the plant in their possession for 3 months prior to fair)

JUNIOR DIVISION JUDGING ‑
Ages 19 or under
First, second and third place ribbons will be awarded in all four divisions; First and second place ribbons will be awarded for Best of Show.
