LYNDON JACKSON BAKER
Lyndon Jackson Baker, 57, of Pound, entered peacefully into eternity Monday June 21, 2021.
Lyndon was a Christian of the Baptist faith. He was a dedicated family man and a tireless worker. Lyndon worked for short time in the mines, but most of his working life he was the owner/operator of Mill Creek Wedges, Inc. where they did everything from logging and hauling timber to a lumber mill where they produce everything from cap wedges and mining timbers to lumber and wood siding. He oversaw every step in the process. He was a fair man to work for, he believed in an honest wage for an honest days work, but he expected you to work as hard as he did. Lyndon also ran the Mill Creek Sportsman Club. He was an avid gun collector, hunter and fisherman.
He loved shooting matches and turkey shoots.
Lyndon was very patriotic, he loved his country and was a huge supporter of Donald Trump. He loved going to restaurants of any kind. He always had a grin on his face and a story to tell. Lyndon was more than willing to help anyone he could. He was a gentle giant when it came to his family. He cared for and protected his wife and girls. But his greatest joy was spending time with his grand kids and spoiling them every chance he got.
Lyndon was preceded on death by his mother Pauline Beverly Eaton; his father Delbert Smith; a sister Kathy Baker; a brother Michael Smith; and his maternal grandparents Walter and Elizabeth Smith Beverly.
