Ninth annual Cooks & Books planned July 31 in St. Paul

The 9th annual Cooks & Books will be held Saturday, July 31, 6-8 p.m., at the Clinch River Farmers Market Pavilion in St. Paul. This event is a fundraiser for the Lyric Project and Friends of the J.Fred Matthews Memorial Library. The Lyric Project is the revitalization of the historic Lyric Theater and this Library is a branch of the Lonesome Pine Regional Library system.

There is a great lineup of regional authors: Neva Bryan, Carol Doss, Michael O’Donnell, Amelia Townsend, Willie Dalton, Kari Kilgore, Jason Adams, Damean Mathews, Jason Barton, Timothy Boyd, and Linda Hoagland. The COOKS this year are from Sugar Hill Brewing Co., the Coffee Station, Carey’s Bread & Butter, Amira Co Cafe, Giovanni’s, Food City Deli, Mountain Rose Vineyard, and Sugar Hill Cidery.

A general admission of $20/advance; $25/door, will get you the opportunity to talk to the authors, look at their books, sample goodies from the food vendors, and take a chance at the silent auction.
