JEROME KERN SR.

Jerome Elbert Kern Sr., 73, of Norton, died Monday, April 11, 2022, at his home.

He enjoyed being at the lake with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert and Norma Gardner Kern; his brother Wayne Kern, and his sister Betty Foster.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Kathy Fultz Kern of Norton; sons, Jerome Kern Jr. of Norton, Douglas Kern and his wife Lavaughn of Norton; daughter, Clarissa and Bill McClain of Norton; eight grandchildren, Brionna Kern, Savahanna Kern, Sierra Kern, Dylan Kern, Kaitlain McClain, Payton Kern, Lucas McClain and McKenzie Kern; two great grandchildren, Nolan and Jackson; three brothers, Vernon Kerns of Coeburn, Richard Kern of Wise and Steve Kern of Norton; three sisters, Mildred Mullis of Norton, Jean Blankenship and her husband Bill of Norton and Alice Chandler and her husband Radford of Big Stone Gap, Va.; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Gary and Rodney Fultz and Sandra Kinser.

Funeral services were conducted at 7 pm Thursday, April 14 at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert Fultz, Jr. officiating.
