Harvey Jack Miller “Jackie”, 68, went home to be his lord and savior on Thursday, May 5, 2022, surrounded by his four daughters, his siblings and other family members at his side.

He was born to Harvey Jack Ellis Miller and Mary Minton Miller of Wise, Virginia.

Jackie was owner of Miller Repair & Truck Parts of Coeburn Virginia. Jackie loved being able to do what he could to support local economy through employing mechanics, using services from other locals to make repairs to help others in their lively hood as long as he was able to. Jackie found salvation later in life he loved attending church and praising his lord and savior. He would encourage others about salvation.

Jackie was passionate about his go cart racing hobby. He was proud of his World Carting Winston Cup Series Championship (WKA). To his daughters they sometimes referred to him as “Albert Einstein Jr.”

He is proceeded in death by his father, Jack Harvey Ellis Miller and brother Kenny Moscow Miller.

He is survived by his four daughters, Mamie Ann Thacker and husband Kenny Thacker, Jacquelyn “Michelle” Dean and husband Todd Dean, Ashley Nicole Miller and Amy Lee Kennedy, his 6 grandsons, Dustin Allen Miller Fields, Austin Ryan Fields, Kenneth “Dalton” Thacker, Tyler William Smith, Cody Lee Smith and Henry Edward Kennedy; his mother, Mary Miller; sister, Linda Miller; brothers, Chuck Miller (Val) & David Miller (Donna). 6 nieces, 3 nephews, many cousins, customers and friends.

The loved ones he has left behind will always cherish their memories of their times with him.

Funeral services for Jackie Miller were conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 9 at Sturgill Funeral Home chapel Wise with Pastor Adrian Dale officiating. The family received friends from 5:00 p.m. till time of services. Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10 in the Wise Cemetery in Wise. Burial will follow. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
