PHYLLIS ROBERSON BELCHER
Phyllis Roberson Belcher, 83, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at her home.
Phyllis was loved by her family and friends. She was the owner of Idlewild Mobile Home Park. She spent many years in the business world as a florist and owner of Diamond Boutique. She used these opportunities to witness to many as a Christian lady. Phyllis received Christ in her youth and served the Lord faithfully throughout her years. Before her disability, Phyllis worked diligently in her church. She was a choir member, served in many ways with decorating and meal preparation. She was faithful. She was always preparing food when she felt someone needed encouragement. Many people received a pot of soup beans and cornbread in their time of need.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Harold Dean Belcher and her parents, Garland and Ruby Roberson.
Surviving are her daughter, Tammy Tiller and husband Rodric; grandson, Caleb Tiller; sister, Joan Hall; nephews, Garland (Melissa) and John Jr.; niece, Dlana Bodmer (Samuel); a host of cousins; special caregivers, Linda Francis and Pam Hensley.
Funeral Services for Phyllis Belcher will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center 145 Lake St NW, Wise, VA 24293 with Pastor Roger Barker officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. till time of services at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Church. Graveside committal services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Greenwood Acres Cemetery 436 Centre Ave NE, Coeburn, VA 24230. Family and friends will meet at 1:15 p.m. at the Church to go to the cemetery in procession.
