DONNA COX
MORRISTOWN, TN – Donna Cox, 63, entered into eternity
Sunday March 5, 2023 from the Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN after a courageous battle with cancer. Her faithful husband was by her side.
Donna was a Christian of the Baptist faith. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Donna earned an Associates Degree and was a licensed insurance agent. She loved traveling, crocheting, cooking and living on the lake. She enjoyed collecting antiques and had several clocks that she had gathered through the years. Donna loved researching family history and had lots of momentos from many family members. She always kept up with news from Pound through social media. But her greatest joy was the time she spent with her grandchildren.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents Bobby Joe and Shirley Eula Taylor; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Calvin and Sue Cox.
Survivors include her loving husband of 47 years Stuart Cox of Morristown, TN; her daughter Carla Hendrix of Beckley, WV; her son Calvin Cox (Rosalee Cook) of Glen Daniel, WV; her bonus daughter Angela Collier and husband Zack of Tazewell,VA; her grandchildren Katie Mullins, Grayson Cox, Macey Cox, Maddie Cox, Kash Hendrix and Gillian Brewer; her great-grandchildren Owen Mullins and Henley Peralez; her sisters Karen Cantrell and husband Danny-Pound, VA and Kathy Cantrell and husband Bryan-Pound, VA; her brother Jody Taylor and wife Christy-Norton, VA; several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend and sister-in-law Gayetta Cox; and a host of friends and loved ones.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 pm Thursday March 9, 2023 in the Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Randy Carter and Reverend Troy Belcher officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Donna to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
