PATRICIA WILSON

Patricia Wilson, 80, passed away peacefully on July 24 at Heritage Hall in Big Stone Gap, VA. Patricia was a member of the Norton United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Webb and Gladys Wilson and her brother, Richard (Stan) Wilson. She graduated from John I Burton High School in 1961 and attended Clinch Valley College before working at the Labor Department in Washington, DC. She returned to her hometown of Norton and was employed at Old Dominion Power Company for 31 years. Upon her retirement she enjoyed living in her new home. She took pride in her brother Stan, nieces Deidre and Jacque, and her great nephews. She enjoyed shopping on QVC and purchased the coolest, most unique gadgets and gifts for her family.

She was survived by nieces, Deidre Wilson and Jacque Wilson Kirk, Great Nephews Daniel Kirk, Nathan Kirk and Isaiah Kirk, Sister-in-law, Linda Wilson, and Cousins: Linda Mayberry, Vera Vandeventer and Mark Sturgill. She was blessed by the wonderful friendships of Darlene Smith and Lynn Livingston. Special thanks to Heritage Hall for her care these few months after her fall.

A graveside service will be at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Memorials may be made to Norton United Methodist Church, P. O. Box 76, Norton, V
