MARY DORIS ADAMS

Mary Doris Adams, 81, ended her Earthly journey and went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at her residence. She was a former employee of Wise County National Bank, First State Bank and later retired from Miners Exchange Bank. She loved to travel, especially her trips to the Holy Land. She attended the Lighthouse Family Worship Center and the Deliverance Fellowship Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Ray and Amanda L. Adams; her sisters, Anna Ruth Adams, Virginia Irene McAmis, Billie Adams Spears and Alma Lee Adams; her brothers, Beryl F. Adams, Jesse E. “Bud” Adams and Donald Ray Adams. She is survived by her sisters, Sue Yarhouse of Richmond, Va. and Louise Snodgrass of Wise, Va., and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Doris was devoted to helping people. She loved the Lord, her family, and her friends and neighbors. She entered the Kingdom of God hearing “well done, good and faithful servant”.

Funeral services were conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, November 12, 2023, in the Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Mike Hunsucker officiated. Burial followed in the American Legion Cemetery, Big Stone Gap, VA.
