SUELLA DAISY LUTHER

Suella Daisy Luther began her earthly life on January 26, 1925, and at the age of 99 entered into her heavenly life on February 13, 2024. Suella was the fourth of eleven children born to Charles and Kate Sluss of Bondtown, VA. Suella grew up in Bondtown and attended Coeburn School.
Suella married Vernon Luther and they made their home in Coeburn. As a coal miner's wife, she had a challenging life. Suella was 36 when she lost her husband and was left to provide for their seven children. Suella found employment at People's Dept. Store and then later worked at Grand Super Mart, Marshall's Dept. Store and Payless. After retirement she used her time sewing, crocheting, quilting and many other crafts. She enjoyed traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren. She attended Coeburn First Baptist Church and enjoyed her many church friends.
Suella was preceded in death by her parents, all ten of her siblings, her husband, her children, Carletta, Sharon Elaine, and Glenna Luther Drimped.
She is survived by her children, Dennis (Diane) Luther, William Junior (Brenda ) Luther, Jennifer (Donald) Fannon, Cheryl (Chuck) Ward, Margaret Luther, Deborah (Eddie) Puckett; Eleven grandchildren, Rhonda, Monica, Allen, Melissa, Amy, Angela, Brooke, Holly, Heather, Jim, and Steven; fourteen great grandchildren, Devon, Zack, Cassie, Drew, Dylan, Ryan, Andrew, Isabelle, Allison, Elliott, Hannah, Heidi, Hailey and Nathaniel; and one great great grandchild Scarlet.
Suella loved her family and was loved in return.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to honor Suella's memory to First Baptist Church of Coeburn, VA.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, February 16, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home in Coeburn, VA. Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 12:00 pm in the Estes Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenwood Acres Cemetery in Coeburn, VA.
