CHARLOTTE ANN MARSHALL LAWSON
Charlotte Ann Marshall Lawson, 82, passed away on Saturday, February 10, 2024, at NHC HealthCare in Bristol, VA.
Charlotte was born September 17, 1942, on Caney Ridge, VA, to the late Oscar Marshall and Edrie Violet Hamilton Marshall. She was a graduate of Coeburn High School. After high school she married Arvil Carson Lawson, Sr. and celebrated 56 years. Charlotte was a lifetime homemaker for her husband and two sons. one of her favorite hobbies was bass fishing with Carson.
In addition to her parents, Oscar Marshall and Edrie Violet Hamilton Marshall, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Arvil Carson Lawson, Sr; brothers, Banner, Ronnie, Randall, Willard, Rabion, and Alton; sisters, Norma Lane, Rita Faye Marshall, and Josephine Miles; father-in-law Earnest Lawson, and mother-in-law Eula Mays Lawson.
She is survived by two sons, Arvil Carson Lawson, Jr. (Little Carson) and wife, Dorothy Jessee Lawson of Castlewood, VA and Christopher Wayne Lawson and Evelyn Killby, of St. Paul, VA; two grandchildren, Heather Lawson Jordan and husband, Matt, of St. Paul, VA, and Bryan Lawson and wife, Madison, Castlewood, VA; three great grandchildren, Chase Jordan, Edward Lawson, and Maizee Lawson; sister, Shirley Dishman, of Sandusky, OH; in-laws, Ray Lawson and wife Renee, Eunice Peatross, Kay Seay and husband Wayne, Jeff Lawson and wife Debbie, Jerry Lawson and wife Pat, and Beulah Mae Marshall; several nieces and nephews; special niece, Deb Meade; special friends Barbara Lawson Turner, Rebecca Robinson, Debbie Lawson, and Wana Henry.

Funeral services for Charlotte Ann Marshall Lawson was held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at Estes Funeral Home Chapel; Pastor Alvin Meade officiated. Visitation was held Wednesday after 5:00 p.m. until funeral time at Estes Funeral Home. Burial was at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 15, 2024, at the Lawson Family Cemetery. Family and friends were asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 a.m. to follow in procession.
Pallbearers will be Bryan Lawson, Chris Lawson, Makenzie Collins, Jeremy Palmer, Jerry Lawson, Vincent Marshall, and Dave Vanover. Honorary pallbearers are Carson Lawson, Jr., Jimmy Robinson, and Tyler Robinson.
