ROBERTA OWENS

Roberta Jean Emershaw Owens, 64, gained her wings Friday, March 29, 2024, at Bristol Regional Medical Center following a five-year battle with ALS. Roberta was a 1978 graduate of John I. Burton High School. She worked for Wolfe, Williams and Rutherford for 16 years. She was a member of the Esserville Community Church and was strong in her faith. She loved her granddaughters, the beach, ice cream and margaritas.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Emershaw, her brother, David Russell Emershaw and her son, Robert Brandon Owens.

She is survived by her mother, Imogene Emershaw; a brother, Jerome Emershaw; a sister, Regina Browning and her husband Danny; her daughter, Krztena Adams; granddaughters, Sienna Brooks and Reagan Brooks; her nephews, Dalton Emershaw and his wife Chelsey, and Robert Emershaw; her niece, Breanna Browning; her aunt, Brenda Whitaker and her husband Roger; and many special cousins, friends, and her two kitties, Nova and Teeny.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at Hagy & Fawbush Funeral Home in Norton. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, at Powell Valley Memorial Gardens with pastor Danny Smith officiating.
