BRENDA HILL BOLLING

Brenda Hill Bolling, 79, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2024, at the Norton Community Hospital.

A faithful saint, active in her home churches of Guest River Pentecostal and Hopkins Chapel, Brenda lived a full life with a servant’s heart. She retired from a lifelong career with Verizon Telephone Company, and went on to enjoy additional work after retirement at Anchor Book Shop in Norton. Brenda was very patriotic and had a love for her country that was unmatched. She found joy in honoring local veterans, as well as organizing special ongoing projects for local children’s homes.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Tate Hill and Faye Massey; grandparents, Big Bill and Rosey Roberts; her husband, Dewey Bolling; special aunt, Mae Rogers; and two brothers, Dennis and Tommy Hill.

She is survived by her daughter, Tamara Greear; granddaughter, Michole Wampler; four great-grandsons, Carson, Elijah, Zach, and Silas; sister, Reta Wright; special niece, Amanda Houghton; close cousin, Linda Breeding Parks; and special family friends, Gary Pennington, Josh & Kim Pennington, and Ari Pennington.

Funeral services for Brenda Bolling will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at the Sturgill Funeral Home Chapel in Wise, VA with Pastor Darrell Bolling officiating. Family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. till time of services at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Sturgill Funeral Home in Wise, VA. Graveside committal services and burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 10, 2024 in the Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home to go to the cemetery in procession.
