    TAKE NOTICE that a Petition for NAME CHANGE was filed by Gilbert and Pamela Taylor (Legal Guardians) on the 6th of October 2023, with the Clerk of Superior Court for Carteret County, North Carolina, in the above-entitled special proceeding. The Petition relates to a female child born on 27th of April 2014, in Norton Community Hospital, Norton Virginia. The birth mother’s name is Ciarra Paige Papenfuse, formerly Ciarra Paige Taylor. 

   TAKE NOTICE that you are required to make defense to such pleading no later than forty (40) days after the date of the first publication of this Notice, exclusive of such date. Upon your failure to do so, the Petitioners will apply to the Court for relief sought in the Petition. Any parental rights that you may have regarding the child’s name will be terminated upon entry of the decree for name change.
