Public Hearing on a change to Wise County’s FY 2024-2025 budget

NOTICE

    The Wise County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the School Board Education Center located on Lake Street in Wise for the purpose of receiving public comments on a change to Wise County’s FY 2024-2025 budget in the amount of approximately $1,662,431, which is an amount greater than 1% of the adopted Wise County FY 2024-2025 budget.  Approximately $1,215,000 of this increase is due to county Coal Road Fund projects, another $372,604 for general fund grants for various departments, $26,159 for fees collected, $19,141 for Fire Department funding, and $29,527 in other general fund maintenance adjustments.
