Glenda R. Brickey, age 83 of Cromwell, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born on October 14, 1941 in Norton, VA to James and Edith Mae (Lawson) Gibson, Sr. She married Lee Edward Brickey on April 5, 1958 in Wise, VA. They were married for 59 years.
Glenda is survived by her children, Joseph (Tina) Brickey of Wawaka, Roy Brickey of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Christoper Brickey, Amanda Brickey, Glenda (Brandon) Taylor, Roy E. (Jessica) Brickey, Angela Brickey, Chere’ Scott, Timothy Longshore, Natalie Johnson; 15 great-grandchildren and sister, Johnetta Amaya of Cromwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; grandchild, James Tyler Brickey; great-grandchild, Mallorey Brickey; siblings, James Gibson, Mary Elizabeth Ball, Lila Brickey and Georgie Suleski.
Glenda worked at Starcraft for 25 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, traveling and shopping. Glenda loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 10 am - 1pm at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana 46767. A service will be held in Glenda’s honor at 1 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025 at the funeral home following the visitation. Bishop Benny Archer will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN. Memorial contributions may be directed to Apostolic Faith Church, 317 Pigeon Street, Ligonier, IN 46767.
