COEBURN, VIRGINIA – Rhonda Faye Evans, 73, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Ridgecrest Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation in Duffield, Virginia. 
She was born in Castlewood, Virginia, the daughter of the late John and Lona Stansberry Powers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Detmer Gilbert Evans; one sister, Brenda Long; one brother, Dennis Powers; and three nephews, Ronnie Long, Jason Long, and Josh Powers. 
Rhonda attended Maytown Tabernacle Church in Coeburn, Virginia. She enjoyed going to church, going shopping, dining out, and spending time with her dog, Sparkle.
She is survived by two sisters, Gaye Sanders and husband, Terry and Debbie Salyers and husband, Mike; two brothers, John Powers and wife, Joyce and Michael Powers; one step-daughter, Elizabeth Evans; four nieces, Kara Werner, Megan Loving, Andrea Edwards, and Vanessa Long; and one nephew, John Powers, Jr. 
Funeral Services for Rhonda Faye Evans were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 24, 2025, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia, with Pastor Alvin Meade officiating. Entombment followed in the Valley View Mausoleum in Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers were William Werner, Law Loving, Mike Powers, Aaron Elgin, Terry Sanders, and Mike Salyers. 
The family received friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 24, at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
