PUBLIC NOTICE
The Town of Wise Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday March 18, 2025, at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Wise Municipal Building at 501 West Main Street, Wise, VA for the purpose of soliciting public comment on an application for approval of a Conditional Use Permit, submitted by Esther Babatunde, to operate a daycare at 505 Lake Street, Wise, VA 24293. Said property is located in the R-C Manufactured Home Residence Zone. The Planning Commission will conduct a review of the application to ensure careful compatibility with neighboring conditions in accordance with the terms of the Town of Wise Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations, adopted March 23, 1987 and as amended to date. Following the public hearing, the Planning Commission may forward a recommendation to the Wise Town Council for approval, approval with conditions, or denial of the application. If the Planning Commission forwards a recommendation for approval, a public hearing will take place on said application at the next Wise Town Council meeting on Tuesday March 25, 2025, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Wise Municipal Building at the address listed above.
A copy of the Conditional Use Permit application is on file in the office of the Town Planner where it may be examined by interested parties during normal business hours. Any person may appear and present their views during the scheduled public hearing. All who are interested are encouraged to attend.
