    Coking Coal, LLC of 633 Callahan Avenue, Appalachia, VA  24216 is applying to the Virginia Division of Mined land Reclamation for a Renewal of PERMIT No. 1302350, in order to continue the operations at the following location.
   The Pardee Preparation Plant is located 2 miles North of Dunbar on Potcamp Fork in Wise County, at coordinates North 3,549,263.7600, East 10,241,907.5100.  The permit area is 89.08 acres and is contained on the Appalachia, Whitesburg, Norton, and Flat Gap USGS 7.5’ quadrangle maps.  The Renewal map showing the permit area is attached in Section 21.2 of the application.
    Drainage and wastewater resulting from the permitted operation will be discharged into Potcamp Fork of Roaring Fork, via sediment pond treating surface runoff and mine discharge.  The discharge location may be viewed on the Surface Water Hydrology Map, which is attached in Section 21.2 of the application.  The discharge resulting from the permitted operation is existing.
   Any person with a valid legal interest which might be adversely affected by this proposal, or an officer or head of any federal, state or local government agency or authority, may within 30 days of July 8, 2025 submit written comments or objections concerning this application, and may also request, in writing, that the Mined Land Repurposing Program hold an Informal Conference concerning this application.
