The Coalfield Progress debuts a new website effective with today's publication, including options for new breaking news emails and text messages.

Expect a sharp new look and easier navigation, with timely updates of news relevant to the community.

The new site represents a return to putting unique content behind a paywall but also expands use of less expensive online-only subscriptions for full access. Trial subscriptions are available as the new site launches.

There are now distinct websites for the newspaper's sisters, The Post and The Dickenson Star.
